About the Chef behind of Kimchi and Radish 

Hello there - a warm welcome to Kimchi and Radish!


I am Jihyun Kim, but better known to friends and work colleagues as Kimmy.  Originally from South Korea, I've been a resident of the UK for over 10 years.  A qualified Korean chef with many years experience in teaching Korean cuisine, I studied Le Cordon Bleu, French cuisine at Tante Marie Culinary Academy, www.tantemarie.co.uk where I fell in love with this wonderful country and decided to make my home here.  


Having always been disappointed with the availability and quality of Kimchi in the UK, I finally decided to start producing myself, and founded KIMCHI AND RADISH in January 2018.  My goal is to introduce great tasting fresh kimchi to customers instead of bland factory packed kimchi and fermented chili sauce.


Kimchi is fermented vegatable and has lots healthy benefit. Kimchi is loaded with vitamins A, B, and C, but its biggest benefit may be in its "healthy bacteria" called lactobacilli, found in fermented foods like kimchi and yogurt. This good bacteria helps with digestion.

All my fresh ingredients are locally sourced within the UK, with signature ingredients (eg chili, chili powder) sourced from family producers in South Korea.
